These days I am trying to watch how much money I am spending.  I am also trying to save money wherever I can so when I saw some discount Los Angeles flights being offered I went ahead and booked them.  Now, you might be wondering why I would spend money on airfare when I am trying to save money.  That is a valid question and the answer is because I travel to California several times a year to visit my mother and booking ahead when the airfare is on sale might cost me a little bit of money now but it will save me a ton in the long run.
