I can honestly say that I think taupo new zealand is one of the most amazing places in the world that I have visited. I had met other travelers in Auckland who had stayed there on their way north and they all said it was a great spot. They certainly were not exaggerating about this town, it was everything they had said and more. As soon as I arrived there I headed to one of the lake front bars and sat in the sun while enjoying the view, along with a nice cold drink. I stayed there for a few days and had an absolute blast.
