My new husband surprised me with a trip to South Africa for our honeymoon. He wanted to go to an exotic place that mixed old and new cultures. He also thought we might trace some of our Afro-American heritage back to this area. Anyway, after a fabulous wedding and reception, we jumped aboard a midnight cross-Atlantic flight and caught what sleep we could on the plane. A car rented through durban car rental was waiting for us when we landed. Then it was off to a luxury hotel and our wonderful honeymoon adventure. While we never were successful in searching for our ancestors, we became acquainted with the beauty and culture of this part of the world. What a wonderful trip!
