Make up started way way back in the olden days. People used to wear it in the form of plant materials like colors from berries or crushed powders from various plants. Most women have liked to wear a little make up to accentuate their best features.

The funny thing is, that make up has probably been around just as long as men have been attracted to red lips and lush eyelashes. If you ask me, make up simply developed because of the attention that many women got from the opposite sex. So, that just made other women want to get the attention too.
