My new husband surprised me with a trip to South Africa for our honeymoon. He wanted to go to an exotic place that mixed old and new cultures. He also thought we might trace some of our Afro-American heritage back to this area. Anyway, after a fabulous wedding and reception, we jumped aboard a midnight cross-Atlantic flight and caught what sleep we could on the plane. A car rented through durban car rental was waiting for us when we landed. Then it was off to a luxury hotel and our wonderful honeymoon adventure. While we never were successful in searching for our ancestors, we became acquainted with the beauty and culture of this part of the world. What a wonderful trip!

My grandfather passed away suddenly due to a stroke. He was getting up in years, but he was more active than me. Every time I turned around, he was hitting the road in his recreational vehicle going to see old friends. After his passing, my mother was given the vehicle. My brother decided that he wanted to use the vehicle to take his family on vacation. My mother agreed as long as he secured RV Insurance. My brother did get the insurance, and a week later left with his family to Florida. He said this was the best vacation that they have ever taken as a family.

My parents have both finally retired and now they have the time to do all of the things that they always wanted to. They love to travel and are planning several trips. Their first trip will be to Maine. Mom received several brochures that illustrated maine lodging and where they should stay. They are thrilled to get going because they dreamed of this day for such a long time. Their next trip will be to the Bahamas. This has been another spot that they dreamed of visiting. I am thankful that they are in great health and are able to live their dream.

It has been an extremely long time since I had seen my friends from California and I was really looking forward to have them come for a visit. We all met in Europe a few years ago and have kept in touch via email. Now, finally, after all this time, we will all be meeting up again for a re-union. I have been flat out making sure I have everything organized for them, from their car hire to their accommodation and making sure it is all perfect. Unfortunately I do not have the space to have them stay at my apartment and also I have to work during the day.

The year I turned twenty I had never been anywhere or seen anything but desperately wanted to.  With no experience or idea of what I was doing, I saved up enough to get luggage and a ticket to Europe.  That trip was an education in many ways.  Not only did I learn history and geography, I found out how important holiday insurance is.  My only trunk was lost, along with my clothes and I couldn’t afford to replace it.   Three years later I left for my next great adventure a much wiser traveler.  Over the years I still made mistakes, but at least they didn’t cost me anything, thanks to my travel policies.

I was always one of those people who dreamed about living the foreign lifestyle.  I would read books about living abroad, ask colleagues about every tiny detail of their sabbaticals, and hang out on forums for expatriates.  When I heard about Portugal properties, I knew I had to think about it.  I finally found a beautiful, centrally located Porto Property for an incredibly low price, and I said to myself that it was do or die time.  So, I took the leap!  I am so glad I did.  I can safely say this was the smartest investment I have ever made.

One of the most amazing thing that I have ever done in my entire life was to go diving French Polynesia style for my honeymoon.  My wife and I had such a great time with Dive Time.  Their depth of knowledge of the environment was truly mind boggling and beneficial at the same time.  It has really opened my awareness up to a new level.  the passion that our instructor had with me, especially in the beginning because I was so afraid to get into the water, was in the level of Mother Teresa.  I am definitely going to have to do that again!

One of the best opinions about airmiles that I ever heard is that they do not have to be used for flying. If you are a frequent flyer and you have built up tens of thousands of air miles if you can use on other trips, you might not have the time to fly on to a new location. Because of this, you can use your air miles to buy gifts for other family members. You can also transfer them to other people so that they can use your flyer miles to go on vacations of their own. Mostly, business people find themselves traveling so much that their idea of a vacation is to stay at home. If this is you, and you have to many frequent flyer miles to use, it might be a good idea to use them in a different way.

Whomever said that a safari in not romantic has not gone on the right type of safari. My husband and I went on the romantic safari to Honeymoon Costa Rica and had the best time of our lives. We spent eight days seeing some of the most beautiful things we have ever seen. There were spas, boat rides, fireplaces, a Jacuzzi tub in the room and the pool was glass-tiled. The design of the pool along with all of the other amenities that you have at your disposal will simply take your breath away. You will wonder why you had not gone before.
