My son’s old cheap Ford Ranger pickup is in desperate need of new tires. He has driven this truck for several years and isn’t really sure how much longer it will last. He’s considering trying to get a set of good used tires because he hates to spend so much money on tires for a car that may not last long enough to get a lot of use out of them. I can understand this idea, but with winter being near I am afraid that used tires might not do well on treacherous roads. Has anyone had used tires on a vehicle that performed well on slick, icy roads?
